CBSE Class 12th results Declared 2023: At 91.84%, Chandigarh’s pass percentage much better than national average of 87.33%
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the results for the Class 12 Board exam on May 12, 2023. The pass percentage this year is 87.33%, which is better than the 83.40% pass percentage of 2019 – the pre-Covid period.

A total of 16,90,817 students appeared for the CBSE Class 12 exam this year, out of which 14,32,228 students have passed. Girls have performed better than boys this year, with a pass percentage of 90.68% as compared to 84.67% for boys.
The top three performing regions in the CBSE Class 12 exam are Trivandrum, Bengaluru, and Chennai. Trivandrum has topped the list with a pass percentage of 98.87%, followed by Bengaluru with a pass percentage of 98.47% and Chennai with a pass percentage of 98.28%.
The CBSE Class 12 exam was conducted in two terms this year, with the first term being held in November and December 2022 and the second term being held in May and June 2023. The results for the first term were declared on February 20, 2023.
